TIPS ON SELECTING THE RIGHT CAR FOR YOU

1. Decide The Type Of Car You Want

There are thousands of used cars listed online or in showroom of dealers but narrowing down the search couldn’t be simpler!
Make a list of the features that are most important to you – manufacture brand, body type, colour or whether it’s an automatic or manual transmission – and these options will help you to narrow down and find your next car quicker.

2. Search Smarter For A Used Car

You might not have a specific make and model in mind. Then just list some of your personal requirements. Such as price range, fuel economy or even just gear types.

Don’t worry, click our car buying help guild lines and advice will help you decide your next car.

Petrol VS Diesel? Which car is right for you?

If you need to tow or like to hit the road, a diesel car can be a reliable and trusty sidekick.  Petrol vehicles are still high-revving, peaky pieces of work that drink slightly more, but are more fun for it.

Automatic VS Manual

Depends on your personal needs and type of cars you choosing, most automatic transmission cars will give you a better experience when use as a daily driver. On the other side a manual transmission can be a bit hard for beginner drivers but once you get the hang of it manual cars are 300% more fun & thrilling to drive! Especially when you got a spooly boi under the hood 😀

Force Induction Or Aspirated

A spooly boi can make some hectic cool noises or simply just for the back pushing feeling when the boost kicks in. On the other hand an aspirated motor can be very high revving and screaming all the way to the end of you tacho gauge. Both of the options will conclude into one simple sentence  More Air Goes In More Happiness Comes Out 😀

What to know before entering a dealership?

You don’t have to be a mechanic to spot underlying issues with a used car, there are a few tell-tell signs if you know where to look.

Firstly, we’d recommend inspecting the wheels and bumpers.

Check the brakes too (when it is safe to do so of course). Find a quiet lane, drive in a straight line and brake firmly. While out on the test drive, listen out for any knocking or vibrations too, especially when the steering wheel is on full lock.

Finally, make sure you start and drive the car when the engine is cold.

Engine size, what does it mean?

An engine’s size is otherwise referred to as its ‘capacity’ or ‘displacement’. Without getting too complicated, it’s a measurement of how much space the engine’s pistons operate in. A bigger number means each piston is able to push more air and fuel mixture through the car’s engine every time it moves.

The number is expressed in cubic centimeters (cc) and on engines with a capacity or displacement greater than 1,000cc (one litre) it’s usually rounded up to the nearest tenth of a litre. As a rule of thumb, the bigger this number is, the more power you can expect the engine to produce.
